Exciting projects are daily business at Geha Laverman. But the replacement of these Ferris wheels made our heart beat a little faster. Geha Laverman, in collaboration with partner HEKO-Ketten, passionately took up the challenge of breathing new life into these sprockets.

In 2016, SSAB, partner of Geha Laverman, LKAB and Vattenfall launched: HYBRIT, a revolutionary collaboration in steel production. HYBRIT will replace coal, needed for the steel industry, with hydrogen. The result is the world's first fossil-free steel production technology, with, of course, a too low carbon footprint.

Don't be alarmed: the Kekeisen UBF-3000, the last but certainly not the very last milling machine at Geha Laverman, but the most beastly one ever installed. A milling beast of no less than twenty tons, where during October all space - over fifty square meters!

Fokke Post and Dennis Slof shared the same school and training and found their - more or less - first job at Geha Laverman as a sales engineer in 1994. A quarter of a century later, they are still working in the same space and in the same company.
